We've spent years figuring out how to make buildings that don't just look good - they actually work with the land they're on. Here's what we've been up to lately.
Muskoka, ON
This one was tricky - clients wanted floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the water, but didn't wanna heat the entire lake in winter. We ended up using triple-pane European windows and a pretty clever radiant floor system. The whole place runs on geothermal now, and yeah, the views are ridiculous.
Completed: 2023 | Size: 3,200 sq ft
Toronto, ON
Converting an old warehouse into workspace isn't new, but making it energy-positive is. We kept the original brick, added a living roof, and installed enough solar to actually sell power back to the grid. The tenants love the skylights.
Completed: 2022
Toronto, ON
Young family, tight lot, big dreams. We went vertical instead of sprawling everywhere, with a central atrium that brings daylight all the way down. The kids' play area has direct access to a backyard garden that's basically become their science lab.
Completed: 2023
Mississauga, ON
The city wanted a park that could handle flooding without turning into a mud pit. So we designed it to actually work with the river's natural cycles - native plants, permeable pathways, and a wetland area that doubles as a water filter. Now the local schools bring kids here for ecology classes.
Completed: 2022 | Size: 4.5 acres
Toronto, ON
1890s building with gorgeous bones but terrible insulation. The heritage committee wouldn't let us touch the facade, so we got creative with the interior envelope and added a smart HVAC system. Cut energy costs by 60% while keeping all the original character.
Completed: 2021
Oakville, ON
Healthcare spaces can feel pretty sterile, so we focused on bringing in natural light and views of the courtyard garden. The waiting areas don't feel like waiting areas anymore - patients actually show up early just to sit in there.
Completed: 2023
Haliburton, ON
Built on bedrock with a steep slope down to the water. Instead of blasting and flattening everything, we worked with the terrain - the main living space cantilevers out over the rock, and you can see straight through to the lake from the entry.
Completed: 2022
Toronto, ON
Homeowner wanted to help the bees without creating a maintenance nightmare. We designed a layered native garden that looks good year-round and basically takes care of itself once established.
Completed: 2023
Toronto, ON
Converting a garage into living space on a tiny lot. Every inch counts here - we used pocket doors, built-in storage, and a rooftop deck to maximize usable space without it feeling cramped.
Completed: 2022
Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON
Chef wanted the space to reflect their sustainable menu. We used reclaimed barn wood, installed a herb wall in the dining area, and designed the kitchen for zero-waste operation.

We're always up for a challenge - whether it's a full build, renovation, or just figuring out how to make your space work better. Let's talk about what you're thinking.
